“I always try to be a good sport at every horse show I attend,” St Jacques said, adding that he wanted to thank Premier for presenting him with the award. Sponsored by Premier Equestrian, LLC, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, the Premier Sportsmanship Award is presented to a barn or rider who displays a high level of sportsmanship during a show and the winner receives a gift certificate for $100 worth of Premier products.
While St Jacques showed off his good sportsmanship attributes at the show, he also showed why he and Lucky Tiger have been at the top of the dressage world for many years. The duo rode the Olympic Grand Prix Special 2011 Test, winning the class with a score of 70.889%. Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian, congratulated St Jacques on winning the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award. “Pierre has a reputation of being a great sport at every show he attends, and that goes a long way in making the horse show world a better place,” she said. “It was great to see Pierre and Lucky Tiger back in the show ring and we wish them the best of luck as they head toward the London Olympics.”
